Meet Lisa Lifshitz

Today we introduce you to Lisa Lifshitz. Lisa is a partner in Torkin Manes’ Business Law Group where she specializes in the areas of information technology and business law. When it comes to tech and the law, Lisa is the go-to person. She advises on technology law matters for a diverse client base, from emerging companies to large institutions. She provides technology-related advice on financings and acquisitions, including export control and open source advice on cross-border deals. Lisa also practices in the area of privacy and information management, advising both Canadian and international clients on compliance with Canadian privacy requirements.

The list of Lisa’s recognitions is admirable to say the least. She has been named repeatedly a leading lawyer in numerous award categories and in particular she has been a “Repeatedly recommended/Leading lawyer” in the Canadian Legal LEXPERT Directory in the field of Computer & IT Law, 2005-2012.

You can find Lisa on Day 1 of the summit where she will discuss some common findings from a Cloud Legal project that highlighted and documented the most common custom concerns (both legal and business) in storage as a service contracts.
