The 2015 Asigra Global Partner Summit – Final Thoughts

2015 Summit

Thought leaders, influencers and sought after industry pundits congregated in Toronto for the annual Asigra Global Partner Summit consisting of 2 ½ days of action packed learning, networking and information-sharing. The only conference for Service Providers that is focused on cloud backup and is free to attend – there is no conference registration fee.

It was evident through many of the presentations that “Trust” is important in today’s buying cycle from early engagement to post purchase. Asigra VP of Marketing spoke about the Triangle of Trust followed by Tiffani Bova and Jill Rowley conveying their insights on why trust is a differentiator that companies need to embrace.

Asigra’s Eran Farajun stressed to the partners that the market is ripe for opportunity and that together – Asigra and our partners – are in a position to capture these opportunities. Eran spoke about the new strategic alliances that the company has formed with Oracle as well as AWS and of course, he emphasized to the partners that SaaS based applications like Google Apps and Office 365 are growing exponentially in the market opening up new cloud-based backup sales opportunities. He told partners to leverage these engagements as gateways to broader data protection conversations. Farajun also presented partners with the company’s object storage strategy.

But it wasn’t all about the keynotes and sessions, Asigra encouraged partners to provide their feedback on the product, technical support, professional services and marketing. The Hands-on Lab presented partners with a first-hand glimpse at new features in development and the opportunity to engage with the product engineers themselves. Since Asigra is 100% channel focused, we are reliant on our partners’ insights to ensure that we are building product and programs that make sense for their business. Partner feedback is welcomed and embraced.

There was so much that took place over the 2 ½ days that we cannot possibility share everything, but one thing that is for certain and in tradition the Summit was a success. And the peer to peer networking was priceless.
