"It seems like everybody... is getting into the cloud backup and recovery business," noted the publication. "The opportunities for cloud providers and their channel partners are growing, but first, you need to know who to partner with." To help its readers choose wisely, Channel Insider selected Asigra as a partner they should consider when moving toward a cloud-based backup solution.

"We are very pleased to receive this recognition for our efforts in the channel," said Amitra Chandra, Senior Director of Corporate Marketing at Asigra. "We understand that channel partners need support in order to be successful in the cloud backup space. Therefore, we've taken great care in developing a variety of options to meet the needs of different types of partners, whatever their offerings, level of experience or revenue."

Programs Meet Varying Channel Needs

Asigra provides a number of programs tailored to the varying needs of its channel partners. For partners new to cloud backup, the company's Market Readiness Toolkit minimizes partners' risk and helps ensure that their Asigra-powered backup service is easy to get to market and profitable. The toolkit includes templates such as service-level agreements and service terms and conditions. With assistance from the Asigra channel development team, new partners can broaden their portfolios, broaden their market scope, and expand their geographic reach. Backup veterans looking to improve marketing or provide better backup service can also take advantage of Asigra channel programs and switch to owning their own backup vault or to graduate from their existing platform to Asigra.

Value-added resellers can benefit from Asigra's Hybrid Partner Program to resell the Asigra software solution to enterprises as a private cloud backup solution. Asigra also offers resellers the flexibility of reselling the cloud backup service offered by one of its managed service providers (MSPs). This can become a lever to entering the managed services business and eventually owning a vault.

Because many channel partners' business environments are hybrid in nature, Asigra's Hybrid Partner Program offers three levels of involvement.

  • MSP Hybrid partners resell Asigra software and use the Asigra vault infrastructure for managed backup service delivery.
  • VAR Hybrid partners resell Asigra and/or the managed backup services hosted by 3D Hybrid partners.
  • 3D Hybrid partners resell Asigra software and maintain a wholesale vault and advanced support infrastructure for managed backup service delivery – allowing channel partners to own their own vault.

In addition, Asigra recently established the Asigra Partner Advisory Council to increase dialogue with its most active channel partners. This program gives the company the feedback it needs to improve operations, policies, products and programs to enhance the partners' experience.

"As a one-stop shop for backup and recovery, high availability, and business continuity needs, it's important that we employ best-of-breed solutions from vendors that offer best-of-breed support," said Mathew P. Grosso, executive vice president, Data Storage Corporation. "Asigra fits the bill perfectly.  As we've grown and evolved, our company has benefited from Asigra's partner program, ensuring we stay true to our mantra ‘Excellence in data protection and recovery’ and keeping us at the top of our game from both a technical and business perspective."
