Asigra Inc., a leading Cloud Backup™ and recovery software provider since 1986, today announced that the company has been named a finalist in the “backup and disaster recovery (DR) software and services” category of the 2011 Product of the Year Awards. Presented by Storage Magazine and, the backup and DR software and services category includes backup, recovery, disaster recovery, snapshot, replication, electronic vaulting and archiver solutions.

Now in its ninth year, this year’s finalists included forty-eight enterprise data storage products from six categories. Judges from the publication’s selection panel selected finalists from nearly 200 entries in six data storage categories: backup and disaster recovery software and services, backup hardware, networking equipment, storage management tools, storage systems, and storage system software.
