Nexsan and Asigra Team to Provide Disk-Based Multi-Site Backup/Recovery
Woodland Hills , Calif., February 23, 2005 – Nexsan Technologies, the leader in innovative storage solutions, today announced that Asigra, the technology specialists in distributed backup and recovery software for network computing, has been selected for the Nexsan Strategic Solutions (S2) Program.
The joint partnership brings together Nexsan’s InfiniSAN disk-based storage hardware and Asigra’s Televaulting multi-site backup and recovery software for customers looking to implement a solution that offers distributed data protection featuring grid-based performance and capacity scaling, utility service provisioning and agentless installation. The total storage solution, offered through Nexsan’s channel of more than one thousand resellers, provides scalable backup and recovery options to multi-departmental and geographically dispersed enterprises at cost-correct pricing.
"In today's heterogeneous storage environments, we often see smart companies developing strategic partnerships to gain an edge in a highly competitive marketplace," said Arun Taneja, founder, president and consulting analyst with the Taneja Group. "Asigra is one company that continues to build the right synergistic relationships, like the one recently established with Nexsan. It is not only a positive for both companies involved but benefits end users by offering a comprehensive pre-tested multi-site backup and recovery solution."
“We are looking forward to our relationship with Asigra as they become members of Nexsan’s powerful alliance of premier partners,” said Brendan Kinkade, Vice President of Marketing at Nexsan. “We believe that our storage hardware combined with Asigra’s backup/recovery provisioning software make for a compelling total package solution for companies looking to secure their mission-critical information today while keeping open the option of future expansion as directed by their growing business needs.”
“By joining Nexsan’s S2 Program, we are providing customers with the latest in enterprise backup software designed for multi-site backup and recovery,” said Eran Farajun, Asigra Executive Vice President. “As like-minded companies, we feel that Nexsan’s cost-correct pricing on their storage solutions strongly complements our 'pay-as-you-grow' capacity-based licensing model, bringing together a model of cost efficiency to companies looking to maximize their investment in data protection solutions.”
For software and hardware manufacturers that complete the S2 process, benefits include special pricing on the Nexsan products to be integrated into their solution, referrals to channel partners, co-marketing opportunities, and cooperatively produced white papers and collaterals. Total solutions will carry a “Nexsan certified” designation and be included in the Nexsan’s award-winning family of products.
