Asigra Joins Network Appliance Partner Program;
Relationship Enables Certification of Joint Solutions
Feb. 16, 2005 - Asigra, the technology specialists in distributed backup and recovery software for network computing, today announced it has become a member of the NetApp(R) Partner Program. Membership in the Partner Program will help enable Asigra and NetApp to certify each company's solutions for the benefit of customer data protection needs.
By joining the NetApp Partner Program, Asigra's Televaulting(TM) distributed backup solution will be tested and validated with NetApp unified storage systems to deliver customers better centralized backup administration of remote site data islands. This will help ensure that customers' network infrastructures will properly function with simplified management to efficiently manage staffing requirements, and lower costs that are inherent to enterprise architectures.
"This partnership is a continuing effort by Asigra to reassure our customers that we are dedicated to providing total storage solutions that eliminate data protection, performance, and scalability limitations while dramatically reducing the cost and management of backup across the WAN," said Eran Farajun, Asigra Executive Vice President. "We are pleased to have joined the NetApp Partner Program. The NetApp Partner Program demonstrates that NetApp is equally dedicated to providing customers complementary technologies that better address the realities of heterogeneous network environments."
"The NetApp Partner Program helps us work with partners, such as Asigra, so we can jointly provide customers reduced complexity, enhanced performance, unlimited scalability, and more reliable data access," said Patrick Rogers, vice president, Partners and Alliances Marketing at Network Appliance, Inc. "In this case, Asigra and NetApp customers will benefit from enhanced reliability via centrally-managed multi-site backups with virtually unlimited scalability."
Asigra eliminates many storage pain points through technology that is designed for enterprise-wide centralization, built from the ground up to perform on a global level. It is tested and certified compatible by leading infrastructure providers, not to take the place of data center backup software, but complement it for multi-site backup and recovery. Business benefits that differentiate Asigra's offering from other backup solutions include true regulatory compliance, reduction in worldwide IT management expenditures, compounded reduction of hardware/software capital and enterprise-wide license costs, a pay-as-you-grow pricing model and the highest level of assurance that all company data is protected.
