Asigra and Level Platforms Team to Provide Managed Online Backup Services for Solution Providers
Asigra Televaulting and Level Platforms provide Terian’s VAR customers with opportunity to deliver manageable offsite data backup for SMBs

TORONTO – August 14, 2006 – Asigra™, the technology specialists in agentless remote backup and recovery software solutions, and Level Platforms, the leading provider of remote monitoring and management software for solution providers, announced today a joint program to supply Level Platforms’ solution provider customers with Asigra’s award-winning Televaulting™ for secure online backup as a key component of Level Platforms' award-winning software, Managed Workplace.

With the integration of Televaulting and Managed Workplace, Level Platforms offers its more than 1500 solution provider partners the most complete managed services platform available today, allowing solution providers to monitor backup as well as an unparalleled roster of vendor technologies and other IT functions through a single web-based central dashboard.

As a direct result of the combined integration, Terian Solutions, based in Houston, offers a custom-branded service called Secure Backup to enable smaller resellers to deliver managed offsite backup and restore at low prices to small and midsized business customers.

Resellers can also choose to create their own vault infrastructure with Asigra, or utilize Terian's established vault for securing customer data. Colesante says about half of the Secure Backup value added resellers (VARs) also sell their end users a disk appliance pre-loaded with Televaulting. That not only sends the backup data to the offsite vault, but also functions as local data replica for quick onsite recovery.

“Not surprisingly, there is a greater opportunity for human error in an SMB, so these local restores, especially of email messages and accounting or financial data, happen quite often,” said Colesante. Secure Backup end user customers tend to be businesses ranging from 20 to 400 employees, a category where full-time IT staff can be overworked, scarce or nonexistent.
