Asigra Televaulting Solution to be Integrated into HP Electronic Vaulting Services for Enterprises
Asigra provides industry-leading enterprise technology, giving HP Services robust electronic vaulting service capabilities
TORONTO. – September 28, 2005 – Asigra™, the technology leader in agentless distributed backup and recovery software for network computing for more than 19 years, announced that its Televaulting™ solution will be offered as HP’s software of choice for production-hardened electronic vaulting capabilities to its enterprise customers.
Asigra’s Televaulting software will be incorporated into HP Electronic Vaulting Services for Enterprises, a managed service that includes installation/configuration and housing of the vault at HP data centers. Asigra’s Televaulting, with its focus on recoverability, is designed to ensure that customer data at all protected locations is fully validated, verified and recoverable.
Asigra Televaulting is an agentless multi-site backup and recovery solution that delivers backup/restore service as a utility and allows the protection of all corporate computers without the management concern or expense of agents. Televaulting’s powerful end-to-end data encryption provides for data security and allows enterprise-wide backup across the WAN or IP without concern to remote locations around the globe using existing infrastructures. Using Televaulting’s agentless architecture, deployment is fast and easy, with the installation of agentless client software on only one node of each data center in the enterprise, regardless of whether there is one server, fifty, or five hundred within a heterogeneous LAN environment. Asigra uses advanced WAN optimization techniques to consolidate data protection activities across multiple locations while reducing bandwidth requirements. Televaulting can help businesses to achieve regulatory compliance, reduce worldwide IT management expenditures, and realize a compounded reduction of both hardware/software capital and enterprise-wide licensing costs.
Key features include:
- Agentless architecture, simplifying management and enabling the protection of all corporate computer systems, whether there be 100 or 10,000, without increasing expense
- Bare Metal Restore (BMR), allowing administrators to quickly recover lost, damaged or corrupted data without having to manually reinstall operating systems or configure hardware prior to use
- Autonomic Healing verifies the validity of all backup data and automatically corrects third-party problems encountered to provide for readiness for data recovery, facilitating the maintenance of data integrity
- Advanced security features, including authentication, strong encryption for data “in-flight” and “at-rest”, and non-escrowed keys, provide the peace of mind customers expect
- Grid-based performance and capacity scaling, allowing the product to easily grow as data loads increase
- Open interoperability, allowing the protection of a wide range of platforms and systems
- Production hardened reliability, currently protecting more than three Petabytes across thousands of systems worldwide
