Press Release (U.S.)

CoreVault Upgrades Managed Backup Service with Asigra
Managed Backup Vaulting Provider Migrates Customer Base to Asigra Backup Service Software Platform

TORONTO – November 27, 2007 – Asigra Inc., the technology leader in agentless backup and recovery software for service providers targeting the growing managed storage services market, today announced that CoreVault, a managed service provider (MSP), has transitioned all of their CoreVault customer accounts to the Asigra™ Televaulting™ backup service software platform which now powers the CoreVault data backup and recovery service offering. After utilizing another platform for more than two years, the move was driven in part by Asigra’s partner-friendly business model, which supports versus competes against its service provider partners according to CoreVault.

“Selecting a technology vendor that is truly a partner versus one that puts a company in a competitive situation against the technology provider is of importance where trust is a critical aspect of working together,” said Jim Rutherford, President at CoreVault. “After evaluating Asigra’s technology and operational model, Asigra was proven to be the most partner-friendly backup service software provider with comprehensive technology and a 20-year history of experience in backup service delivery platforms that put them a level above the competition.”

“We have been very pleased with our transition to Asigra’s platform. Along with the new service offerings it provides us today versus what was available before the move, Asigra’s technology and auto deployment of upgrades has proven very valuable to our processes both internally and with our customers,” said Rutherford.

Asigra’s Televaulting backup service software platform is the technology platform underlying CoreVault’s backup vaulting services. Televaulting is agentless, multi-site backup and recovery software that combines utility service provisioning with a disk-based WAN-optimized architecture, removing the limitations of traditional distributed tape backup software. Using Televaulting, CoreVault provides its customers with powerful backup and recovery services — including continuous data protection, message-level restore (MLR) for email recovery, and near-instant recoverability in the event of data loss — while minimizing hardware, software and IT management costs associated with providing backup and recovery services.

“Working with service leaders like CoreVault combines best-of-breed technology and a mission to support versus compete against our partners,” said Eran Farajun, executive vice president at Asigra. “Our service partners report high levels of satisfaction, starting with our partner-friendly business model and ending with our superior technology platform and support and this continues to drive managed backup service providers in our direction.”
