Asigra and ONStor Partnership Creates Compliance Package for Remote Data Backup and Recovery
Core Consultancy delivers First Disaster Recovery Service based on Asigra/ONStor Solution

London, 15th March, 2006 - Asigra today announced that it has partnered with ONStor to reduce the costs and legal complexities of protecting data across remote sites. The partnership combines ONStor’s Bobcat Series Enterprise NAS gateways with Asigra’s newly-launched Televaulting software upgrade - Televaulting 6.0. Core Consultancy, a premier provider of Disaster Recovery (DR) solutions for small to medium sized enterprises in the UK, is the first customer to benefit from this partnership.

It is often the case that data generated at an enterprise’s remote office is left out of central office data backups to the datacentre. There are repercussions for the business if data from remote offices is lost, damaged or stolen. If the remote office data was not backed up to the company’s datacentre, compliance regulations may come into force, such as those stating that data including employees’ emails needs to be stored and recoverable for a certain number of years.
