Senior Sales Representative

Locations: US

Join Asigra, an industry leading backup/restore software technology leader as a Sr. Sales Representative responsible for a specific territory/region.

You will work from your virtual office, with monthly travel to Toronto headquarters. Asigra offer competitive compensation.

Must have a standout sales track record in the backup/restore software market segment, because you'll be joining a standout technology firm. Must have a track record of success selling backup/restore and storage software solutions.

Ideal candidate:

  • 5+ yrs. sales experience in storage software sales
  • Experience with following storage vendor(s):
    Network Appliance, Inc., Veritas, IBM Tivoli, Computer Associates, Legato, Commvault, Storage Technology Corp. (STK)

SALES ENGINEER

Locations: US

A Sales Engineer (SE) partners with a Regional Sales Manager (RSM) to develop a partner (channel) and targeted enterprise end user account base and to meet assigned sales quotas in a defined territory.

Through a combination of storage expertise and extensive field experience, an SE will manage all technical activities during the sales cycle. An SE must possess the ability to convince technical decision makers of the merits of Asigra's solution versus competitive alternatives.

The SE will be required to report to the Director of Sales regarding technical issues including but not limited to technical problems with the Asigra product, interoperability or compatibility issues with products of other vendors, or requests for feature additions or function modifications by end user clients.

The SE will also be required to report accurately and on a timely basis to the Director of Sales on the status of the RSM's territory, including but not limited to revenue pipeline, account activity and status, problems and challenges within the territory, and any information related to competitors or competitive products.

The SE will also be expected to make presentations (both electronic and live) to audiences of various sizes, including large audiences at seminars.

Essential Functions:

  • Deliver presentations to customers and partners on Asigra's technology and product offerings

  • Assess customer requirements and infrastructure and design appropriate Asigra configurations

  • Develop technical responses to RFIs, RFQs, and RFPs

  • Conduct hands-on demonstrations of the Televaulting and other solutions

  • Facilitate and manage customer evaluations

  • Develop tight relationships with customer technical personnel which result in incremental opportunities for Asigra products

  • Provide customer and market input to Product Management, Engineering, Customer Service, and other pertinent groups

  • Assist, as appropriate with development of white papers, technical briefs, case studies and other tools to be leveraged by Asigra's Sales organization

  • Represent Asigra at User's Group meetings, seminars and industry conferences

  • Stay current on major competitive maneuvers, products, and industry developments; be capable of handling customer inquiries on these matters

Job Specifications:

Minimum Education: B.S./B.A. plus a history of continuing professional education

Minimum Experience: 8-10 years of Pre-Sales experience with vendors such as EMC, Hitachi, HP, Veritas, Brocade, and Network Appliance (or equivalent startups); experience selling to Fortune 1000 companies a plus

Knowledge: General knowledge of storage HW/SW technologies and implementations; knowledge of Unix, Linux, and Windows Server environments; advanced knowledge of leading backup software vendor architectures and product lines; general working knowledge of networks and WANs

Analytical/Interpersonal Skills: Excellent verbal and written communicator; ability to listen to and understand a customer's needs; creative problem solver; handles customer objections and "heated" situations calmly and confidently; works well with all Asigra groups

Travel: Extensive within the sales territory (some overnight travel); quarterly travel to Toronto for training

Other: Position requires a current driver's license
